About the Instructor

My name is Laura Roundy, owner/operator of Roundy Music Studios. I have been playing and performing the violin and piano for over 20 years. Growing up, I took both classical piano and violin from a variety of the best local instructors. As a teen, I was concertmaster for the Everett Youth Symphony Orchestras and participated in many local orchestras. As an adult, I perform with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra, am a holiday pianist at the Everett Mall, and am a local wedding musician.
As a professional music instructor, I am a member of the Washington State Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers' National Association.  I have been teaching private violin and piano lessons full time for ten years and have taught over 1000 students of all ages and backgrounds.
In 2005, I graduated with honors from Western Washington University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Although my first passion is music, ultimately I decided not to major in music in college and pursued a degree that would offer more flexibility.
Personally, I reside in Bothell with my husband Josh, my son Mason who was born March 2011, and two dogs Oscar and Annie. In my free time I enjoy painting, gardening, cooking, yoga, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
